Why work with me
My name is Dr Katie Psarou
With over 20 years of experience as a registered dietitian and expert training on fertility and sustainable weight management, I've supported many individuals in improving their health, losing weight and preparing their bodies for pregnancy in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.
When you work with me, you're not following a generic plan or navigating it alone. You'll have personalised guidance, support and accountability from someone who understands both the science and the emotional side of this journey. I'm helping you make changes that fir into your life and feel manageable long-term and improve your reproductive health.

"Does weight loss really help with conception?"
It's completely understandable to question whether this will make a difference, especially with so much mixed information out there.
The research shows that even modest, sustainable weight loss in both men and women combined with improved nutrition, can support:
-
hormone balance
-
ovulation
-
cycle regularity
-
sperm quality and
-
overall reproductive health
This programme focuses on exactly that. So rather than just "losing weight", you're making meaningful changes that support your body and move you closer to your goal of getting pregnant and staying pregnant.
“I have learnt so much I didn't know and been given the tools to be able to take control of my own nutrition”
I have enjoyed working with Katie on my health. I started the prgroamme having worked with other nutritionists and thinking I knew it all but desperate to lose enough weight for ivf. However, I have learnt so much I didn’t know and been given the tools to be able to take control of my own nutrition. The meal planning really helped to understand what I could eat and how to make up my meals. 6kilos down! Thanks Katie!

Frequently Asked Questions
What results can I expect?
It’s completely natural to want to know what kind of results you might see, especially within a set timeframe like 3 months. While everyone’s starting point is different, over a 3-month period, the focus is on building strong, sustainable foundations.
For many clients, this means consistent progress with their weight, feeling more in control of their eating, and developing habits that actually last. Rather than quick fixes, the goal is steady, realistic change that supports both your health and your fertility over time.
From a fertility perspective, we also know that it takes around three months of consistent lifestyle changes to make measurable improvements in egg and sperm quality, and to prepare your body for conception or IVF.
Do I need to follow a strict diet plan?
Not at all! My approach isn’t about dieting or cutting out foods you love. Together, we’ll create a balanced plan that works for your lifestyle and helps you feel confident with your food choices.
What if I wait a few months and come back to this later?
Waiting can feel like the “safer” option, especially financially. But when it comes to fertility and weight, time is often more valuable than we realise.
The changes that support your body (improving nutritional status, building sustainable habits, and reaching a healthier weight) take consistency over time. Starting now means giving your body that head start, rather than putting things on hold and revisiting the same challenges later.
Will I need to cook separate meals for myself and my partner (or family)?
The approach we take is designed to fit into your household, not create more work for you. The meals and structure we build are based on balanced, everyday foods that can be easily adapted for everyone at the table. This means you’re not cooking separate dishes. You’re simply making small adjustments to suit your needs, while still enjoying meals with your partner or family.
