About Your Consultation

If this is the first time you are thinking of working with a dietitian, here is a breakdown about what to expect on your first and subsequent online consultations.

Prior to your first online consultation

Before your first appointment you will be send a form to complete that gives me more details about your lifestyle, for example information on eating patterns and food preferences, physical activity levels and any relevant medical history and medication or supplements taken. You will have the opportunity to describe your nutritional concerns and your goals for our first consultation.

On the day of your online consultation

Part of the session is dedicated to understanding what you hope to achieve by working together and how you want your life to be different. This will give me a better understanding of what changes are best to recommend to help you achieve your goals.

Your initial online consultation will also consist of a comprehensive nutrition assessment. This means we will discuss the status of any medical conditions, blood test results, symptoms you have been experiencing and explore your current routines and eating patterns to gain an in depth understanding of your current lifestyle and nutritional needs.

After your online consultation

Following this first online appointment, I will ask you to fill in a food and drink diary to assess how well you are meeting your nutritional requirements. When you complete this diary, I will provide you with your individual nutritional analysis report. Depending on the health goal you want to achieve, the analysis may focus on weight loss, improving a health condition, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum or other stage of your life. In this report I will formulate your individually-tailored plan to help you achieve the health goals you set for yourself. Then together we work collaboratively on how to make the changes you want happen in a way that empowers you to implement and sustain them no matter how busy life gets.

Follow Up Consultations

Follow-up consultations will be scheduled at regular intervals. During these sessions we will go through what has been working well and what might have been challenging. Together we can come up with changes that are doable for you and support you to achieve your health goals.

Online Programmes

Online nutrition programmes [?link to services pages] are available and a great way to hold you accountable to your health goals. Often the results that you are hoping to achieve they are not going to happen with just one session, so in a programme we work together for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Change is hard. Even when you know what to do, it can be very tricky with how to change your eating habits, how to sustain them and how to not give up. Working with me in an online programme means we will prioritise what changes you need to make and you will get all the support and guidance to implement the right strategies that will help you achieve your health goals.
