My Story

Hello I'm Katie Psarou, a Specialist Registered Dietitian with over 18 years experience working in NHS, academia and private practice. I specialise in Weight Management, Diabetes, Fertility, Maternity Health and Child Health Nutrition. I have always been passionate about food and I love to create and cook healthy tasty meals for my family and friends.

As a dietitian my practice is regulated by law and governed by an ethical code of conduct to ensure you receive the best possible care. Registered Dietitian's are the only registered nutrition professionals, so you can trust a dietitian to give evidence-based advice.

I am registered with the Health Care Professions Council, and I am a member of the British Dietetic Association.

I am proud to work in partnership with Nutrition Plus to provide you with most up-to-date research and clinical advancements in womens' health and early life nutrition.

My first degree was BSc (Hons) Dietetics at Leeds Metropolitan University. I then completed a postgraduate certificate in Behavioural Approaches in Weight Management at University of Central Lancashire and a MSc (Distinction) in Weight Management at University of Chester. Finally, in 2017, I completed a PhD in Diabetes at University of Liverpool.

I am qualified to provide food and  nutrition related advice for wellness and various clinical conditions. I am a published author with articles in medical journals and I have taught on undergraduate and postgraduate nutrition and dietetic related university courses.

My mission is to advise individuals and families like you about food and nutrition, so that you can lead a healthful life.
